Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of King's Way Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7, John 1:1,14, and 1 Thessalonians 4:8). He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Scripture
The bible as we know it is the divinely inspired word of God. We accept it as God’s word and will for our lives in all matter pertaining to our physical, mental and spiritual lives (1 Thessalonians 2:13) (2 Timothy 3:16,17) (2 Peter 1:21).
Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ressurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
Giving
God has created man to be like him in everything and in every way. God’s very nature is giving, and not only giving, but giving of his very best. We see that example in Jesus Christ (John 3:16). The Bible clearly teaches us that through giving it is God’s way of teaching us to trust in him and by obeying his word through giving, he will give back to meet our needs and bring us into a prosperous place. He goes on to say that by withholding our tithes and offerings that we rob him (Malachi 3:8-9) (Luke 6:38) (Philippians 4:15-19) (Proverbs 11:24,25) (2 Corinthians 9:6-10).
Divine Healing
Divine healing is wrought by the power of God, purchased by the blood of Christ, and appropriated by the faith of the believer. God instituted various ways for us to be healed. Prayer of agreement (Matthew 18:19,20), Laying hands on the sick (Mark 16:18), and the prayer of faith (Acts 28:8) (James 5:14-16). Most occasions, through God’s word, we see people taking authority over sickness and disease. Healing comes from God (Isaiah 53:4,5) (Matthew 8:17) (1 Peter 2:24) and sickness and disease comes from the devil (acts 10:38) (Luke 13:16).
